Potential opportunities include working on the following types of projects:
Structural Engineering - structural design of wastewater facilities.
Bridge Engineering - design and plan production of bridges and other transportation structures.
You will learn to implement critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You may be asked to assist with presenting reports defining project progress, problems and solutions as required. You will support the TREKK team around you. Although you will be physically located in the Kansas City office, you will be integrated with the staff in the Springfield, St. Louis, Omaha and Columbia offices to support a variety of projects.
Key performance expectations are:
Manage your work to ensure it is completed as outlined in scope and on schedule.
Assist with the financial well-being and profitability of your projects by delivering your work product accurately and on time
Represent TREKK in professional society organizations and functions
Maintain accurate, legible and organized records of work completed
Provide accurate time and expense reporting
Maintain 85% utilization rate
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Engineer-in-Training certification preferred
Up to 4 years of experience
Strong willingness to obtain a working technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
A working knowledge of and/or desire to learn MicroStation, Geopak, LEAP Bridge, STAAD (or equivalent FEM analysis software), Excel and Word
Must be able to work effectively in team situations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization
Participate in and encourage a collaborative approach
